Covid Summer - Original Painting

$300.00
SOLD

Covid Summer, Ben Seaman
2022
Acrylic on paper
9 x 12 in / 22.86 x 30.48 cm

I created this painting in a class with master painter Pete Hocking that I took online during the summer of 2020 when the Covid Pandemic forced us all to shelter in place. These Adirondack chairs in my backyard became objects I studied much more closely than usual, since they were the only visual interest in our wooded property. I still remember the way I associated the heat of that summer with the fear, loneliness and gratitude for having a house away from the city.

This piece can be shipped as is for framing later or it can be glued to a wooden cradle with painted wood sides and ready to hang.
